Registration Rules
- No Mary Sue/Gary Stu characters! Your character must be well rounded and have flaws along with positive traits. Role playing with a Mary Sue/Gary Stu is very boring. Let's keep our characters interesting, but not insane.
- One character per member to start with. Once your first character is fully developed, then you may apply for another character at the discretion of the Administrator.
- If you apply for a character it is not guarenteed that you will be accepted, especially for a canon. The Administrator will PM you and tell you what you need to improve on. If you still do not improve, unfortunately your application will be deleted. Feel free to apply again in the future.
- Your application will reflect which house you will be sorted into. Please do not request a house, either.
- If you register but don't apply within a week, your account will be deleted!
In Character Rules
- No God-moding!You cannot decide how another character will react to you. It can be difficult when using spellwork, but remember that the other character could have blocked it or moved out of the way.
- Netspeak is forbidden. We are writers here, lets show them how awesome our literary skills are.
- Proper punctuation, grammar, and spelling is a must. It doesn't take much time to proof read or copy/paste it into Microsoft Word for a quick check. It is hard to read smoothly if there are numerous mistakes. The fun is taken out of role playing if most of the time is spent trying to decipher what was written.
- You should be writing in the third person. It can be past or present tense, just be consistent.
- Each post must be 200 words or more. It may seem intimidating, but when you think thoroughly about your characters thoughts and reactions it is really simple.
- Please do not mix IC and OOC. The chatbox is IN CHARACTER. If you would like to talk OUT OF CHARACTER in the chat box, use parentheses (the secret word is dumbledore) to avoid confusion. Also if there is a problem OOC, that does not mean that IC friends should now be enemies. Let's be civil, shall we?
- When writing speech, please make it stand out by bold or color. Italics is reserved for emphasis and spells. It is easier to read.
- The board accepts all ratings. Use rated R in moderation and be sure to state it in the title of the thread. Cursing, violence, and sexual themes are accepted. Use wisely and maturely.
Out of Character Rules
- Respect each other. Simple as that.
- If you have a problem with another member, PM the Administration and it will be sorted out in a civil way.
- Also respect the Administration. The rules are made for a reason to keep balance in the RP.
- If you have any other concerns, don't be afraid to PM the Administrator.
