House Points!

Here are ways to receive house points:

• Becoming a member. The house you are sorted into gets 5 points.
  
• For every 50 posts, you get 10 points.
  
• Starting a thread earns you 5 points.
  
• Winning a Spotlight Award gets you 10 points.
  

Here are ways to lose house points:

• Breaking one of the site rules loses you 5 points. ( Followed by then 10, then you risk being banned. )
  
• Causing a major disruption or spamming the cbox looses you 5 points. ( Followed by then 10, then you risk being banned. )
  
• Roleplaying a thread that doesn't abide by Hogwarts rules. You risk being caught which can cost your house major points, up the the teacher's or prefect's discretion.
  

Any other time you can receive or lose house points is up to those characters who have a power-holding role, such as prefects, teachers, and the headmaster. These characters have the ability to join threads, even closed ones, and enforce these rules. An example:

If you have a character meeting another character after curfew, this is breaking Hogwarts school rules. The Headmaster or Prefect may post in the thread saying they are approaching the scene, but may not immediately and/or automatically deduct points ( which would be god-moding ). The characters in question are allowed to reply saying that they are hiding, or possibly failed to hide and are caught. This may or may not end in points being taken away, depending on all players' actions.

If this does result in points being deducted, ( or points being rewarded, for example in a class ) please fill out the following form and PM it to the Administrator. Also if you have any questions you may send a PM to the Administrator and they will be glad to help.
