No Middle Ground

After begging her brother for forgiveness, Aiden Potter was taken under protective custody by the Order of the Phoenix, leaving her fiancé Rabastan Lestrange behind and renouncing her allegiance to Voldemort the same night the Longbottoms were scheduled to die by several of the Death Eater’s hand. The youngest Lestrange was the last to go inside the home of Frank and Alice Longbottom and as he trudged up the steps, he had a sudden change of heart. No one knows why, and don’t bother asking him because he won’t tell you. As he left the home, the screams of the Longbottoms echoing behind him, he came upon Aurors and Order members who were there to stop them. Aiden had given away their plans, leading to the caputre of Bellatrix Lestrange, Rodolphus Lestrange, Rabastan Lestrange, Barty Crouch Jr, and Antlia Black. They were on their way to Azkaban to await trial until suddenly, all but Rabastan, who the others were convinced was the traitor among them, disappeared- vanished as if they were never there. Aiden pleaded with Dumbledore to speak on Rabastans’ behalf, and to her surprise, he had, saying that he was an agent for the Order working for him. The charges against Rabastan Lestrange were dropped and he was taken under protective custody of the Order, to remain in solitude with his fiance, if he could even still call her that.
Months later on October 31st, 1981, just when they thoughts things had calmed down, Lord Voldemort springs his attack on the Potters, James had distracted Voldemort long enough for Lily to get away with Harry before the Aurors could arrive. James sacraficed himself for the love of his family. With everyone under the assumption that Sirius Black was the Secret Keeper, he was out casted from his friends, the only family he considered that he had left. Peter’s betrayal remained a secret as he continues to plot against ‘his friends’, his latest plan is for the escape of those loyal to the Dark Lord in Azkaban to be released, which he hopes with put him in good standing with Lord Voldemort, and he’s getting close…
Lily Potter lives alone, raising her son with the help of close friend Remus Lupin. She can’t even look at Aiden, let alone be in the same room with her. She lives in the fear that Voldemort will come back for Harry. She’s closed herself off from the rest of the world, only to become a shell of her old personality. Sirius tries to prove that he didn’t give away the location of his best friends’ family.
