Strengths:
Albus is better than he likes to admit when it comes to persuasion and manipulation of those around him. He is thoughtful and will look at a problem from any angle, and stubborn enough to keep going until he finds a solution to it. He is not afraid to show initiative on his own, but hesitates in large groups of people. He has inherited his father’s skill as a Parseltongue, and can therefore communicate with snakes. At occasions he has been accused of being a cynic, but the positive side of this is that he is very realistic and meets whatever obstacles that are thrown in his way prepared and head on.
Weaknesses:
Albus can be shy and has poor social skills. He tends to be perceived as arrogant and has an uncanny ability to say the wrong thing. He lacks the charisma and charm of his father and older brother, and is seen as a little cold and distant by those how doesn’t know him. He holds a grudge for a long time, and is not beneath taking revenge on those who hurt him.
Habits:
Biting his finger nails, plays with his wand when he is thinking, quirking his eyebrow if he feels someone is speaking falsely or is acting stupidly.
Secrets:
- Is absolutely terrified of flying
- Feels like he can’t measure up the rest of his family
- Uses the abbreviation ASP of himself, this both being his initials as well as a certain type of snake
Boggart: Albus worst fear is seeing his family turn their back on him
Patronus: Albus’ patronus takes the shape of a giant snake. His happiest memory is when his father took him to Diagon Alley alone and bought him his barn owl Zephyrus.
Mirror of Erised: Seeing himself surrounded by admirers simply because of himself, and not because of who his father is, having the power to change the world around him as he likes.

Biography:
Albus Severus Potter was the second child of Ginny and Harry, and was born on the 26th November in 2005. He was the only child of Harry’s who inherited his grandmother’s bright green eyes, and on a whole Albus resembled his father in his appearance from a very young age. Where his older brother James took on their father’s most adventurous and outgoing qualities, in this sense becoming a lot like the grandfather he had been named after, Albus had a much more quiet nature. As a child he spoke little, but was thoughtful and often preferred being on his own to the company of other children.
The fact that he and James were so different from each other always made it difficult for the two of them to communicate openly, something that would often result in fights. Albus contributed a lot of his insecurities to the practical pranks James had played him over the years, but was never really able to see that he had paid his brother back a long time ago in his own ways. Two years after Albus was born Harry and Ginny got their third child and only girl, Lily. Albus and Lily got along better than he and James did, and their sister often worked as a bridge between the brothers.
Being accepted into Hogwarts was a moment of absolute joy for Albus, but he still boarded the train with a feeling of dread. This came from dual reasons. On the one hand he feared going to a school where he would be famous before even arriving, and for something he had had no part in himself. His clear similarities with his father made him even more visible as a Potter, and he disliked the attention this would cause.
The other reason for Albus’ nervousness was his fear of being sorted into Slytherin. Having heard both his parents and his brother talk about the houses there was no way he could deny having more than just a few of the traits that were asked from the green clad students, and Albus was concerned that his family would turn their back on him if he was sorted into the Dark Lord’s house. Right before he boarded the Hogwarts Express, however, Harry took him to the side and Albus confronted his fear. His father’s admittance that the sorting hat had considered himself for Slytherin, as well as his assurance that he and Ginny would think no less of Albus no matter what house he ended up in, calmed him down.
During the Sorting Ceremony Albus was faced with a choice much like his father had once been, but unlike Harry he chose Slytherin over Gryffindor, reasoning that the war was over, and that he should embrace his own qualities, not fear them because of what had happened in the past.
At Hogwarts Albus secluded personality intensified. Even though he excelled in all matters related to academics, socially he knew he was failing. After completing five years at Hogwarts he had a report card that could bring tears of joy to the eyes to his aunt Hermione, but only a few acquaintances that he could stretch into the definition of being his friends. Those he did befriend, however, Albus stood by like a rock.
Academically speaking Albus felt a pull to the Dark Arts at an early stage. This was brought on by a need to understand the forces that had at one point threatened to tear the wizard world apart. The little he managed to read about the subject, however, made him eager to learn more.

Albus Severus Potter was lying slumped on his four poster bed in the empty Slytherin dormitory reading by the light of a flickering candle he had perched up on a pile of books next to him. Stifling a yawn with the back of his hand he finally put the book to his side and jotted down a last couple of notes on a parchment lying propped up on his pillow. That had to be enough. Even for a notorious book worm like him there had to be boundaries of how much effort he put into his homework. Especially when the subject at hand was Defense Against the Dark Arts. Albus made a sour face at the thought. Somehow having a father that defeated the Dark Lord made it pretty much impossible to measure up to the expectations of those around you, try as you might. Not that Albus would have had much of a chance anyway, seeing as he had started his time at Hogwarts with being sorted into the notoriously dark house of the serpent.
Putting his things away Albus leaned back on the bed and lifted his green eyes upwards. Over his head the enchanted ceiling of the Slytherin dormitory (much like the one in the Great Hall) was giving a clear view of the glittering Lake. As he watched a small Gindylow swam past and made a rude gesture before disappearing into the shadows. The water flowing over him gave the dormitory a strange feeling, making the light from the torches in the room flicker, and Albus exhaled slowly as he heard the soft sounds of waves around him.
Shaking his head he rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand and got up. It couldn’t be more than mid-day yet, and hardly the time to sleep. Crossing the floor quickly Albus walked up the small flight of stairs that lead into the Slytherin Common Room. It was like moving himself to a different planet in the time span of heart beat. The moment the door slid open a wall of sound met him, and a smile flickered over Albus’ lips. He was met by a dungeon-like space in which a dozen comfortable sofas and armchairs had been scattered. Along the walls green lamps hung, bathing the room in a soft warm glow.
Several students looked up as he entered, but most of them looked away just as quickly. A few eyes lingered on him however, and Albus made his way over to his selected group of friends without a second glance to the rest of his classmates.
