Today was the day, Macabee had decided. Today he would man the advanced classes without fear and he would show everyone he could do this. He was a good teacher. No, not just a good teacher, a great one. This had become his mantra, and he kept saying it to himself through breakfast. If he said it enough times, hopefully he would start to believe it. Headmaster Meyrick wouldn't have hired him if he didn't have potential, right? He'd managed to find his footing with the younger students after the first few classes, with only a handful of misbegotten spells. However, he was still struggling with the older ones. Perhaps it had to do with them being only a few years younger then him, he wasn't entirely sure, but teenagers just seemed to make him nervous. No more of that after today though, he nodded to himself.
"I am a great teacher," he repeated to his reflection as he smoothed his sleeves once more. He was wearing his favorite yellow and black robes, the colors of the house he was the head of: Hufflepuff. At the very least, he looked the part of the confident and well versed Professor, even if he still had issues with being called one. It brought images to mind of the elderly and now retired Professor McGonagall, he was only twenty!
He looked to his watch and realized he only had a few moments before he would be late to his own class. With one final tug of the front of his robes, he left his quarters and headed to his classroom. Last night it had rained and this morning still looked damp and grey from the windows, but he could not be deterred. He had big plans and a little bit of rain was not going to get in his way.

Harry was at Hogwarts for a quick security visit. Of course, he found any and all excuses he could to visit the school. He loved the ancient halls with their secret corridors and trick stairs. For Harry, this was his first home. The first place he had ever felt truly wanted.
He walked down the corridor, his emerald green eyes flickering to and fro as he scanned the area. What was he looking for? Anything and everything. It was his responsibility to make sure that the students of the school were safe and sound. A job he took twice as serious because his own children, not to mention his many neices and nephews, lived here for majority of the year. And let's face it, if you were rsponsible for the place your kids stayed, you'd make damn sure that place was well protected and nothing was going to harm the children within, wouldn't you?
As he was walking, his noticed a young man walking down the corridor. He was much to old to be a student, but he looked a bit young at he same time. A new Professor? Harry wondered for a moment which class he taught.

Macabee swung around the corner, with only a slight wavering in balance. He held strong though and kept his pace through the corridors, today indeed was going to be a good day. He looked up and gave a nod and a smile to a man, that was coming down the hall from the opposite direction. The way the man held himself, he could only be an auror doing a walk through, something that happened from time to time. It took Macabee a moment to register that he actually recognized him. As a muggle-born, Macabee had no knowledge Harry Potter even existed until he came to Hogwarts. The man was practically a living legend by the way people spoke of him, excited whispers ran through the halls whenever he made an appearance at the castle. With all the talk, and the way the Daily Prophet kept exhaustive track of him and his family... Macabee expected nothing less then to be in complete awe of the famous war hero. However, when he finally got to see him up close for himself during his second year, he didn't know exactly what to make of him. Except for the odd lightning shaped scar to one side of his forehead, he could have been any other perfectly ordinary man. Despite appearances though, he had done some extraordinary things in his relatively short lifetime. He could only wish to live up to the hype that had surrounded his own time spent as a protege in school. The stories and lessons Harry Potter brought with him when he did guest lectures in Defense Against the Dark Arts turned even Macabee's skepticism around without too much difficulty. "Mr. Potter," Macabee said with a new smile before the front of his left foot skid just so to knock him completely off balance and he fell to the floor. He landed hard on his hands and knees, merely glad he'd managed not land on his face. "Bet a lot of people trip over themselves around you," he laughed as he sat back on his knees to examine his hands. --- Words:351 Tag: Harry Comments:

Harry quickly recognized the man as the Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher. He was extremely young. If Harry remembered correctly, he was a student only about three or four years ago. It was slightly shocking to see someone so young being a teacher. But then again, he was better able to communicate with the students.
What was his name…? Macabee…. Tim, Tod, T…T… Turner! Turner Macabee. That was it. He had been a Hufflepuff. Extremely clumsy boy. It reminded him a bit of Tonks. She had always been clumsy, and she herself had been in Hufflepuff. His thoughts were then snapped back to the present as the Professor spoke to him. And then he was down.
Harry blinked, coming to a stop as he looked at the boy on the floor. He stared there as he looked at him. Oh wait… he was talking to him, wasn’t he? “Um, no not really. There’s really just a lot of staring and asking me to marry them…” he said. He stuck out his right hand to Turner, offering it to the younger man to help up.
“But I suppose there’s a first time for everything though. How are you Professor?” he asked him. He was silently observing the man in front of him. After all, he was here to make sure that the castle and everyone in it was safe. And that meant doing a background check on everyone, regardless of how many times he was there or does it.

"Um, no not really. There’s really just a lot of staring and asking me to marry them…” He chuckled again, picturing fan crazed girls with posters declaring their love for the man before him. Much like at muggle concerts he'd attended when he was visiting his parents for the holidays. Finding his hands were in fact going to be just fine, Macabee accepted Harry's outstretched arm. Back on his feet he tried to smooth the front of his robes once more. “But I suppose there’s a first time for everything though. How are you Professor?” "I do like to do the unexpected," Macabee nodded, pulling at the front of his robes to make them fall just so again. He couldn't very well accomplish his goal if he looked as if he just rolled out of bed. "You probably don't remember me from when I was a student, but I'm Turner Macabee. I teach Transfiguration now," Macabee held out his hand properly shake. "Well aside from finding out I'm the first to nearly face plant in front of you, I'm doing very well," an easy grin slid onto his face. He looked to his watch, "I am also going to be late for my class, so I have to excuse myself unfortunetly. Have a good day, Mr. Potter."Macabee took a few steps down the corridor before shaking his head and looking to the other man again, "I'm going to do a demonstration for the advanced students today, would you like to sit in? Only if you can spare a bit of time of course."--- Words:271 Tag: Harry Comments: yeah...

Harry helped the Professor up as he chuckled. Harry arched an eyebrow, unsure if he wanted to know what was so funny or not. Then he couldn't help letting out the chuckle as he said he liked to do the unexpected. "Well, you're definitely good in that department." he said. He liked Macabee's personality. It was fun and easy going. Although for a professor, Harry would say it was a bit too easy going. But to each their own. What he liked even more was that Macabee didn't goggle over him like everyone else in the Wizarding World.
Harry nodded his head. "I try my best to remember people, but i'm not that good at It." he said. "You were in Hufflepuff though, weren't you?" he asked. At least, he was sure he had been in Hufflepuff. But then again, Harry could be mistaken. But hey, it was a twenty-five percent chance he would get it right, and that was better than nothing. He chuckled when he said he was doing well, considering how they had just greeted each other. "Don't let me hold you up." he said, stepping aside for Turner to walk past.
He had started to turn and walk off when Turner asked if he would like to sit in. "Sure. I'm done patrolling anyways. What are you teaching today?" he asked. "And which students?" He vaguely wondered if he would see any of his kids, nieces, or nephews today.

"Excellent, with you there, the students won't even care that we were a little late arriving," he grinned. "We're going to be doing some Vanishing Spells in my 6th year class." Though he was excited, he minded his movement down the hall a bit more then before. Clumsiness could be endearing, but it could also wear on the nerves of those who continuously watched him be so. As he'd learned well over his youth. Children could be very cruel with those that were different... and Macabee hadn't just been a klutz, he'd also been known to be a bit of a freak. Of course the reasonable explanation for the latter was that he was a wizard, but it wasn't as if he could go back to those who'd made his life difficult just to be proven right. Though Macabee wasn't one to dwell on the past. The hard time he had helped him in being able to laugh at himself. Even in situations such as meeting a famous person and falling in front of them. He was finding that he liked Harry. If he remembered correctly from his History of Magic classes, Harry had grown up a muggle as well. Maybe that was what made the hero of a man seem so very down to earth. Turner smiled sheepishly feeling almost embarrassed that Harry Potter would remember him, "I was a Hufflepuff, yes. Your memory is better then mine, I have a pretty terrible time with names and things in general." He ruffled his hair a bit then brightened his smile. "But, one can only try their best each day, right? Otherwise, what's the point of it all?" Down the corridor he could see more then a few students gathered around the door to his classroom. Ordinarily it would have been open so they could get seated, but he'd locked it with a purpose. He didn't want them to get comfortable and then whisk them to the Transfiguration Courtyard for his demonstration, that was just rude. --- Words: 342 Tag: Harry and any 6th year Transfiguration students who want to join Comments: Oh, it's ok. It wasn't one of his favorite classes, and today was no exception for Frank to feel bored. He stood leaning against the stone wall of the corridor, waiting for the professor to arrive. His eyes wandered around to some of the other students, most of which he wasn't particularly friendly with. A bit of awkwardness crawled over him due to the fact that he was being so silent. Frankie was always talking about something or someone, but this time he just had no one to talk to. His thoughts drifted to thinking about his sister, wondering what she had been up to lately. It had been a while since they enjoyed an early breakfast together.
One rowdy student ended up plowing into him, knocking the thoughts right out of his ear. It was some boy he didn't know too well from the Ravenclaw house. Frankie frowned at the kid. "Watch it!" he grumbled as he shoved the kid off. Today was just not the day to annoy this Hufflepuff.
After everyone settled down, Frank rested back against the wall with his head leaning back as he stared at the ceiling. He rolled his eyes again at his rowdy classmates. Normally he would be right in the middle joking and playing about, but today something felt off. Sighing he rolled his head against the wall, just enough for his eye line to see the professor finally heading down the hall. Frankie didn't have too many issues with the Professor Macabee, just the fact that he taught Transfiguration. And maybe it bugged Frank a bit that he was so young. Or maybe Frank was just being picky. His eyes nearly popped out of his head though when he saw who was walking behind Macabee.
Quickly, Frank straightened up his posture and dusted off his robes as Harry Potter approached. Sure they have met on occasion being that his father was good pals with him. He made his face bright with a smile, holding his chin high. Frank aways wanted to leave a good impression on the famous wizard.

Harry blinked, staring at Turner. He was... an odd one. That much was for sure. Silently, he hoped that the Professor wouldn't ask him to demonstrate anything in the class. While he was quite good at Transfiguration, it wasn't his strong point. And well, he may not have appeared so when he was giving a lecture in a Defense Against the Dark Arts class, but Harry really didn't feel at all comfortable giving lectures to kids.
One may have found it funny that a man who led a division didn't like leading, but Harry had always had a bit of a shy spot. At least, until he got comfortable around the people he was leading. Harry felt as if Macabee was using Harry at the exact moment so that the students wouldn't mind that their professor was a bit late. But then again, it sort of was Harry's fault. The Professor had tripped and fell when he spotted Harry. The Famous Wizard did have a habit, unknowingly of course, of making others late for something or another. But then again, Turner was always a bit clumsy and he probably would have tripped without the help of Harry's presence.
He was brought back to the present with Turner speaking again. He shrugged his shoulders. "After a while you come up with your own method of remembering. But yes, if we don't try our best there's no point." he said. Soon, they came around the bend and he could see the students. He easily recognized one of them as Frankie Longbottom. He smiled lightly at Frank, nodding his head in greeting. "Hi there Frankie." he said, extending his hand towards the young man. Harry could feel the stares of the other students as he spoke to the Longbottom. Harry was, of course, used to this type of attitude. "How are your Mum and Dad? I haven't spoken with them in a while." he said.
True, he probably could have just gone down to the Green Houses and said Hi, but Harry didn't want to interrupt any more classes than he had to when he was at the castle.
