Of New Friends And Letters(Chasity)

Lucy had put off writing this letter for awhile. She knew what her Dad's reaction to the fact that his baby had a boyfirend would be. Well, Vic had already told them as lucy had requested, but she figured she had best write her parents and also let them know, especially since she was bringing Noah home for Christmas, something she was both excited and nervous about.

She reread the letter for probably the fiftieth time, and decided that it was good enough. She walked around the owlry a few times trying to find a not so violent owl. She finally decided to just go with a twany owl that kept flying about her while she circled the owlry."Alright you, come here so I can send this letter off with you." she said, hands on her hips. The stupid bird hooted at her and flew around a few more times before finally landing. She sighed exasperatedly and walked to the crazy bird. She slowly handed it the letter, careful to keep her fingers out of its reach, she really did not fancy being bit by the bird."Now take this letter to Percy and Audrey Weasley alright? And dont dawdle about it." she said to the bird. Which as soon as she had finished speaking took off."Crazy bloody bird."she muttered to herslef. Now she just had to wait for her parents to write back. She could already guess what each of their reactions to her letter would be, now she just had to wait."Well this ought o be interesting." she said to herself with a small laugh.

Chasity didn't really have any particular plans when she headed up the stairs to the owlery that day. It would be fairly pointless to send off an owl to her parents. She'd stopped writing to them during her first year when the birds kept returning her unopened letters. Today, it was just somewhere to walk, and she enjoyed watching them fly around. After turning the corner into the large room, she noticed a familiar looking redhead. She was certainly a Weasley, or a Potter perhaps, but then she turned. Hello. Lucy, right? She was pretty sure she knew her, if only from being in the same year. They'd had classes together, she believed. She was James and Lily's cousin, so she'd probably heard the story about the dueling incident. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch of the imagination to believe that Lucy would dislike Chasity simply based on that, but she was in a good mood, and felt like being friendly to the Gryffindor. The owls are obnoxious, aren't they? Some of them are kinda cute though.

Lucy turned around quickly when she heard someone else's voice. She noticed it was Chasity, a girl her cousin James was friends with, but her cousin Lily hated. Lucy had also heard about the little incident between Chasity and her cousin. But had also heard about how remorseful the girl was, and Lucy being Lucy decided not to hold the fight against her. And besidees Jasmes obviously thought quite a bit of her if they were friends, so Lucy decided she would be nice to Chasity, and maybe make a new friend too."Yea Im Lucy. And your Chasity right? My cousin James and you are friends I think." she said giving the girl a kind smile.

She laughed at Chasity's comment about the owls."They are very obnoxious!" she said with another giggle."I suppose a few are cute, a couple are nice and fluffy." she said another bout of giggles escaping her."But honstly, I prefer my kitten Chloe. Im afraid i spoil her rotten, she seems to think she's a baby." she said with a bright smile."But I love her, I found her when she was only a few weeks old this summer, I bottle fed her, and we got pretty attached so I suppose in a way she probably thinks Im her mother or something like that." she said smiling softly at the thought of her precious little calico kitten.

"So what brings you up here?" she asked."I had to send a letter off to my parents, letting them know from me, and not one of my cousins, about Noah and me, and let them know that I'm bringing him for Christmas this year. Im fairly certain that my father's head will explode, but I'll just let Mum take care of that." she said with a giggle."But anyway,How are you?" she asked with anothre friendly smile.
