A brown haired boy walked down the streets of Diagon Alley. He wore a green T-shirt coveredby a black hoodie. Over his legs he wore a pair of viege pants, his 15” redwood wand tucked in its beltloop. The handle of the wand was completely covered by his black hoodie. In his hand he threw a pouch up and down in the air which contained a whole bunch of galleons, sickles and knuts. It was quite obvious that the adolescent boy had just come from Gringotts, the wizarding bank.
He stopped suddenly in front of a shop where a huge crowd of young wizard’s and witches mobbed around, the sign barely visible in the throng. His deep brown eyes read the sign just to make sure that he had the right shop, Quality Quidditch Supplies the sign read. Yup, this was the place alright but why the massive amount of people at the front of the shop? ”Hey! Look over there! It’s Wood! Oliver Wood, keeper for Puddlemore United!” Things finally made sense now, it wasn’t the shop’ merchandise that was popular today, but the customers.
He swiftly and indiscreetly pulled his hood over his face and worked his way through the crowd to the shop’s main entrance, his eyes focusing on his feet so no one would see his face and recognise him as the son of Oliver Wood. It wasn’t the fact that he was ashamed of being his son, it was more the fact that he was sick of all the attention his Dad was given whenever they were out in the wizarding public. When he got to the door he yanked it open and stepped through it allowing it to close after him. Much to his dismay the shop had more people inside of it than what the street held outside. Off to the corner an old fella wore the navy blue robes with two golden bulrushes of Puddlemore United, and was obviously trying to catch his father’s attention.
He must have been looking at the older male too long or something because he heard someone holler, “Hey look! It’s Wood’s son!” That was when he pushed down his hood and fought his way through the crowd to his father, who he knew would fight the mob away from his only son. Sure he was sixteen, but you could never get used to mobs as each and everyone found a different way to exceed the previous one in craziness. When he reached his father he withdrew his unicorn hair, redwood wand and pointed it at the proceeding crowd. “Back off or I’ll hex you!” It was one of the beauties of the trace’s loophole, as long as he was around someone of age he could get away with underage magic as the ministry would have thought that it was the person of age using magic around him. Slowly the crowd calmed down and thinned, allowing Tor and Oliver to talk about different Quidditch supplies that Tormund needed for the upcoming year.

- - - - - - Yes, it was early in the year but, Lily Potter had let convinced Ginny to let her come to Diagon Alley alone. It was a rather lengthy argument that lasted for a few days. Lily's persistance worked, Ginny finally caved, just so Lily would leave her alone. Lily was scared to be one her own for one afternoon. She was fifteen for crying out loud. Lily was perfectly capable to watch out for herself. Things would go fine, just fine.
Lily skipped along the Alley, wondering which shop she should go to first. She wanted to get her first present for Lucy, her closest cousin, next would be Chase, and the rest of the pack. Before too long, Lily was just walking by the quidditch shop when she was nearly run over by a mob of squeeling girls. Ugh, rude, she thought to herself. Lily was swept up by another mob, this one a mix of chidren and adults. She had no choice but to go with them into the shop.
Pushing her way through people, she tried to figure out what it was that had everyone all bunched up. She heard the name Wood a million times so, that must be it. Everytime any family member of the Woods were anywhere, there were mobs of people. Sure, Harry Potter was famous but, Lily was glad she wasn't recognized just walking around. She was able to escape the probablility of being trampled upon.
It was actually hard work picking through the crowd, trying to get behind some sort of shelving. "Back off or I'll hex you!" Lily heard someone shout. The crowd slowly dispersed, the store returning to it's usual calmness. Lily sighed, relieved to see the mob gone. People these days, they just didn't know how to leave someone alone. The Woods were probably here, shopping, and getting some family time it. Lily didn't want to trample on that by saying hi to them because she knew them but, she stuck close in case they saw her.

Tormund was examining a broomstick that he thought would be perfect. He played Chaser for the Gryffindor house team. It wasn’t his first choice of position as he was more of a Keeper than a Chaser, which he probably got from his father. Then he saw a girl with red hair and wearing a bright yellow dress. He recognised her instantly as Harry Potter’s only daughter Lily Potter.
He looked back at his father who was now eyeing a new pair of Keeper’s gloves for himself. Tor walked over to the girl his heart longed for fairly recently. “Hi Lily. Looking for anything in particular?” He knew the store almost as well as the back of his hand do to the fact that his father would make a monthly trip here just to keep his equipment ‘up to date’.
Tor often heard stories from his father about the championship team he had put together in his father’s last year, He hoped that one day the Gryffindor team would be champions again and he would be a part of that very team as either their Chaser or their Keeper. “Are you going to try out for the team this year Lily?”
((OOC: Sorry it took so long and its short, been busy and I'm on low muse.))

- - - - - - Lily was eyeing up a variety of broom straw replacements. Nothing of great importance to her. Lils was just biding her time. At least the screaming crowds had dispersed. There was a small giggling group of what looked like first years a little ways down the aisle from her. She sighed, reaching up to just touch the different straws.
Giggles traveled over to her. Annoying giggles. Lily wondered if this what James and Albus thought of her when she got like that. Still, she was oggling some kid in a store. "Hi Lily. Looking for anything in particular?”
Lily jumped, hearing her name. She peaked back through the shelf. Oliver was there, no Tormund. Oh, that's because he was talking to her, wasn't he? Lily did an about face, bringing Tormund into view. "Oh, hi," she said, giving him a small wave. Was she trying out for the team? Lily let out a nervous chuckle, "Yes...I - I mean, no. I don't know. I just was um...having a look." she explained with a slight shrug. A few thoughts ran though Lily's head. One, Daddy would totally approve Tor over Scorpius. Two, Tormund was cute, and older Gryffindor. James and Albus couldn't disapprove. And, three, Lily needed something to figure out if Scorpius liked her too. Why not just start dating someon, see what happens? It didn't sound like a bad plan - even if Lily's plans never turned out to be good plans. His heart beaded steadily steadily faster as he gazed upon her. He soaked her in like a sponge soaked up water. She had to be the most radiant young woman he has seen so far and he saw a lot of them do to the fact that a lot of people tried to go out with him just to say that they were close to his father or to say that they had touched Oliver. To be honest it was heart breaking. Especially if he thought that they were the love of his life so far.
."Oh, hi, Yes...I - I mean, no. I don't know. I just was um...having a look." What was she so nervous about? He had only asked her if she was going to try out for the team this year. It wasn’t like he had asked her out on a date or anything. His heart longed for her and he knew what he had to ask her... he had to ask her out. “Hey Lily,” He gulpued. “Would you like to... you know.... um... go out with me some time? You know like on a date?” He said, sounding nervous even with his irish accent that he got from his father.

- - - - - - Lily took in a silent breath, letting it out slowly. Things were coming together. If she dated Tor for awhile, she could gage reactions from Scorpius - if he looked jealous or mad. Then, she would know for sure that he liked her too. Lily ached for the courage to just go ask him but, the thought of being rejected was just too painful. So, Lily now had full intentions to shamelessly flirt with Tormund until he asked her out, or she asked him.
.“Would you like to... you know.... um... go out with me some time? You know like on a date?”
Hm, that didn't take long at all. Lily hadn't known that Tor even liked her at all, in the romantic sort of way. Lily smiled at him, ready with a reply. "Yes," she said, not even hesitating to answer. This was going to go better than she thought, or hoped.
The thing about Lily's schemes, is that in the end, they never really work out. Take this situation for instance. What if Lily starts falling for Tor? What if Scorpius does react the way she thinks? Could she break up with Tormund just like that and go straight to Scorpius? What about Tormund's feelings? See, all those questions never really enter Lily's mind until it's too late. She never really takes the time to really think things through. A personal flaw, but a lesson she'll learn in due time.

“Like a gift from the heavens, it was easy to tell, It was love from above, that could save me from hell. She had fire in her soul it was easy to see, How the devil himself could be pulled out of me, There were drums in the air as she started to dance, Every soul in the room keeping time with their hands, And we sang...” ------------------------------------------------------------------ There was no doubt in his mind that he loved her she just needed to know that. He desperately hoped that she wasn’t just using him either as it would break his heart yet again. It was amazing what girls would do just to find out that a boy likes them or to get close to a celebrity like his father. He shot a look over his shoulder at his father. “Hey Dad! I’m going to get some ice-cream. I’ll be back later alright?” There was an inaudible mumble from his father’s direction which he took as an alright. He reached back to his hood and pulled it back over his head, he didn’t want to be bombarded by another mob again. When he was just going to get some ice-cream with Lily. He walked to the store’s door and held it open for Lily. Bowing when she was near. “Apres vous.”[/ul] ------------------------------------------------------------------ words: 209 Tags: Lily! - - - - - - Lily nodded. "Sure," she said with a smile. Lily wasn't one to turn down ice cream, especially when she could get chocolate ice cream. A twinge of guilt stabbed at Lily's heart. She quickly pushed it away. Something told her this was a bad idea. Thing weren't going to turn out like she thought. It couldn't be so bad, could it? If Malfoy didn't like her at all, she would stay with Tormund. He was nice and cute, and he could relate to the whole 'hate being famous' thing - though, less people bothered her for being a Potter than people bothered him.
Lily walked silently with Tormund the door. She was debating with herself up until the point he opened the door for her. She giggled, like other girls do at the use of a different language. She glanced at his hood and sighed before walking out into the street. Lily hoped that it wouldn't be like this all the time - if their relationship bloomed into something long term. She'd rather not hide from crowds, she'd want to flaunt the fact she was with Tormund Wood. "So," Lils said, striking up conversation. "Does the mob of screaming girls happen everywhere you go?"
