Biography: Alice Anabelle Longbottom was adopted sixteen years ago. Her biological parents were both bad wizards, running from the law. They only stopped at St. Mungo's for her birth. Only four hours after her birth - they abandoned her at the hospital. It's not that they didn't care - they just wanted her to have a better life - one free from running. The only name they left with her was Anabelle.
Along came Neville and Hannah Abbott. He was visiting his parents, trying to explain to them whom Hannah was. Hannah left Neville to talk to visit with his parents, she would often times visit the nursery on the maternity floor. There were a few families gazing through the glass, cooing at the wee little ones. There was one child Hannah took notice of, a little girl, who was off to the side. There was no bit of parchemnt with a name written on it like the others. The poor little thing was just there, crying for something. Seeing as there was time, and the Nurse seemed busy, Hannah insisted that she could go in and tend to the child, as the Nurse's hands were full, and she had nothing better to do.
After a little while, Neville came along to collect Hannah so they could head home. He had expected to find her outside the nursery, and not in it. A bit alarmed and curious to find his wife holding a baby, he waved her over. Hannah did, holding the baby girl with her. The Nurse had earlier explained that the child was abandoned, and that they were waiting for the orphanage to come and get her. Hannah relayed this story to Neville, pleading that they do something for her - as they had been thinking of starting their own family soon anyway. After much debate and pleading, Hannah won over her husband by making him hold the little girl. Soon enough, Neville and Hannah had the proper papers filled out and were able to adopt the baby girl, naming her Alice Anabelle Longbottom.
Belle, as they called her, had an extremely happy childhood. She was always quiet and barely cried for anything. When Belle neared the age of eleven, she knew all about Hogwarts. Neville and Hannah weren't exactly sure if Belle would go to Hogwarts - as her parental blood was unknown. But, upon her elventh birthday - she recieved the letter. Belle was extremely happy was so glad to got to go.
The train ride there wasn't too bad. Belle knew quite a few students already, mostly the Potters and Weasleys since they were family friends. Belle was sorted into ____. It didn't bother her at all. She cared less about what house she was placed in. She was more focused on learning about the world in which she lived it, and how two groups of people could live peacefully in one world.
As a student, Belle excelled. The professors seemed to like her. She was quiet, timid, and shy but, an excellent student. In class, she isn't afraid to ask questions, or give answers. Outside of class, Belle is more shy and reserved. Mostly it is because she isn't sure who she is - so, she's has insecure feelings. Recently, over this summer Holiday, Belle has noticed slight differences between herself and her family. It's only left her feeling insecure but, she doesn't want to say anything to anyone about it.

One of the things Alice Anabelle Longbottom loved most about Hogwarts, were the night skies. There were so many stars, one could just lay on the ground for hours and watch them. Belle, was one that would stay up an entire night to watch the night sky. It was so easy to get lost in thought looking at such a vast sky. Now that she was a Prefect, she was more comfortable going out at night. Without the worry of getting in trouble, Belle felt tonight was a safe night to leave the Astronomy tower and just go out.
The qudditch pitch seemed like a promising spot. Belle would be safely hidden either in the stands or on the grass of the pitch itself. No one ever came out here to check for students, therefore, Belle deemed it safe. Even if someone did come along, she was pretty sure she could hide from them. If not that, any Professor would believe she was out here for some Astronomy assignment.
It was shortly before midnight as Belle climbed into the pitch's stands. She laid back on the lowest one, looking up at the sky. Her bright blue-green eyes searched for a falling star. Ever since she was little, she wished upon them. None of the wishes ever came true but, hope was key. Belle had a lot to hope for, like her future. She sighed, hoping to see more than just a few falling stars. What she really wanted to see was the northern lights. On rare occasions, one could see them here. It was a perfectly clear night, not a cloud in the sky. It was cold, so that helped too. She knew that in order to really see the northern lights, she would have to travel to Alaska or Canada. That, was just one of the things she planned on doing after graduation. Belle wished that moment wasn't so far away.
Out of the corner of her eye, Belle noticed someone was flying around the pitch. She panicked, and rolled off the bench, literally climbing down the stand's support beams. Belle stopped when she hit the ground, surprised that she pulled that maneuver off. Out of pure curiosity, Belle edged forward, peeking out at the pitch through the small openings in between the banners that coated the bottom of the stands. She could see a figure on a broom, though she couldn't make out who. Belle watched as he, or she...though, she was pretty sure it was a he - landed on the ground, and laid in the grass.
Belle debated whether to leave him there, or do the duty expected of her. She reasoned out that it wouldn't really be logical to serve this person a detention. After all, she was out as well - and even though she is a Prefect - Belle shouldn't really be out either. So, to avoid getting in trouble herself, she thought it best to leave him be. She sighed, and moved to walk back up to her previous spot - using the stairs. Belle cringed as the wood creaked under her weight. That figures, when you are trying to be stealthy, things have to make noise. Disregarding it, she continued to return to her spot. This time, she sat up, but still looked up a the sky - pretending not to notice anyone was below her on the pitch.
