The Halloween Festival
--- It was a perfect evening for celebration. The weather had its typical chill and gusts of wind, but the sky was clear allowing the crescent moon to shine its silver down onto Hogsmeade. Thousands of stars studded the sky, not something a person would be able to see in the middle of the city. Off and on the wind blew around to turrets and towers of the castle. Dried leaves could be seen swirling across the grounds of Hogwarts, as if dancing to the music of the holiday.
The Halloween Feast was just wrapping up in the Great Hall. Students were getting antsy to depart to the festivities. Headmaster Meyrick stood from his large chair, which immediately silenced the students into an excited hum. He held out his hands, like a maestro ready to conduct his orchestra. The sleeves of his extravagant wizarding robes hung loosely around his boney wrists, revealing a magical watch that didn't tell the time but the mood of the atmosphere. Taking a glance at it, the headmaster noted the pointer hand was about to spring off where it pointed at "excited." An easy chuckle escaped him before he began to speak.
"Alright students," he said in a playful tone, his own excitement dripping from his voice. "Now is the time to depart to your houses and get ready for the festivities down in Hogsmeade. Let me remind you of a few rules. Students must be back to the school by midnight." This side of his lip twitched. Just the idea of any type of disorder made him nervous. If there were students out past curfew, that meant trouble. The Headmaster hated to deal with trouble. "Second, absolutely no dueling. If myself or any other teacher catches you, there will be strict reprimands, meaning detentions. And finally," he paused for a dramatic effect. The students seemed to lean in closer to him with every breath. He smiled, loving the fact that he had undivided attention. "There will be alcohol present, due to the party being hosted by the Three Broomsticks. However, no student under the age of 16 is permitted to drink anything more than a couple butterbeers. That mean's stay away from the firewhisky, you younsters. Again, if caught, there will be punishments." His speech stopped, allowing the students to finish their moaning and groaning. A smile was still on his face as he waited for them to quite down. "Alright, alright," he finally spoke up. "Off with you now." Headmaster waved his arms dismissively, as he turned around and headed away from the teachers' table.
There were no students on the grounds as of yet, being that they were all in their dormitories getting ready. The Headmaster remained smiling to himself as he followed the path and headed for gate. He paused for a moment, just outside of the gate and turned to face it. Holding up his hands he murmured some incantations. It was a complicated protection spell, that could discern who the students and professors were to allow them entrance. Simply speaking, those not permitted to enter Hogwarts on this night, would be blocked magically so the gate could remain open for the students to roam freely. Satisfied, he began walking again towards Hogsmeade.
Headmaster Meyrick may have seemed strict to those on the outside, but he was quite the contrary. He gave his students a lot of freedom. The rules helped them to stay in line. Being a teen once, he knew how feisty they could be, and he didn't want to inhibit that. Of course, if their feistyness disrupted anything, that's when the rules came down. Tonight he hoped everything would stay in order.
Hogsmeade was already bustling with shop owners and adult wizards from the community. There were a few bon fires in the streets, with witches and wizards in constumes surrounding them. There was a small charm placed on the area, keeping the temperature comfortable without hindering the autumn feeling. The doors to all the shops were open, with the owners dressed in their best costumes. At the end of the way, music could be heard coming from the Three Broomsticks from their open doors. A warm golden light escaped their windows, illuminating the street before them. He smiled, everything had been organized and come out so well. Now inside and relaxing at the bar, he ordered himself a mug of mead.

Harry sighed as he sat at the bar of the Three Broomsticks. A cup of Butterbeer in his hands as he looked about. As much as he liked Halloween, he wasn't completely and totally fond of it. And who could blame him, knowing his past. He had only just arrived at the Three Broomsticks, regardless of the fact that he had left three hours previously. He had been at the Wizarding Village of Godric's Hallow. He had been visiting the ruined Cottage that he and his parents had lived in. The whole second floor of the Cottage was ruined where the curse had backfired when Voldemort had tried to kill him.
He could see in his mind's eye a blinding flash of light. The light that had killed his mother. After looking at the Cottage, he had left and traveled into the main square of the village. The obelisk carved with names was in the center of the village. However as Harry approached, it turned into a statue of his family. It was weird, seeing an image of himself without his scar, being held by his mum and dad. He walked past the statue, which returned to the obelisk, and entered the Graveyard. He stood over his parents Tombstone, running his hand over the tombstone. Forty-one years... Forty-one years they had been gone. Unknowing that their son stood above them. Again, he was visited with that longing feeling of lying in the ground with them. He smiled, waving his wand and placing flowers on the grave. He then walked over to the Dumbledore graves and layed flowers there as well.
Twisting on the spot, he had appeared at Hogsmeade.
Which brought him to where he was now. He smiled lightly as he sipped at his Butterbeer. He noticed the Head Master of the school come in and order a cup. He smiled lightly, nodding his head. "Hello Headmaster. How are you?" he asked. Words || 323 Tag || Anyone Comment || None

Staring into the mirror, Penny's eyes trailed over her image for like, the sixth time. And for the sixth time, she tugged at the bottom on her dress, so short.. her rolled her eyes at herself. She was about to leave for Hogsmeade for the Halloween festivities. It would surely be a fun and eventful night! Well.. Eventful for sure... She was allowed to drink, but she didn't plan on getting smashed. Not tonight,. Though she knew of some others who had that exact plan in mind... It was fancy dress and she was going as Little Red Riding Hood. Well at the time it was a good idea.. But now, looking at her reflection, she wasn't one hundred percent sure. She wore a cute little, (very little) red and white dress, with black lace adorning the front, of course, she also had a red cloak, though it was somewhat shorter than your average cloak, finishing just past the hem of her dress, though the hood was fairly generous, and Penny casually considered that the hood was the part of the outfit which used the most fabric. An amused smile filtered across her lips... Slightly riskay in her oppinion, the dress showing well above the level of leg that would be deemed 'proper' and she could just imagine her mother frowning dissapprovingly at her overall appearence... Oh well! She's not here! She sighed, happily deciding to throw caution to the wind and that Jame would likely love whatever she wore, even if she turned up in a brown paper bag... Speaking of.. or thinking of James... She glanced up at the large clock on the wall of her dorm room. She had ten minutes before she was supposed to be meeting James outside the great hall, where they would both make their way down to Hogsmeade together. Her room mates had been giggling and making comments all day about her and James and what they might get up to in hogsmeade, with a firewhiskey or two in them.. Penny had just smiled and laughed a long with them. She really couldn't be bothered to go into the incident with Luc the other day and how things could easily have returned to the default of awkward...But, Penny had decided, no, she wasn't going to dwell on any incidents and she was bloody sure she wasn't going to let James dwell on it either. Tonight was a night for having fun and just forgettingany seriousness of their lives... And so, with that last confidence boosting sentiment, Penny smoothed down her dress one last time, before waving a lazy goodbye to her roomies, who all just giggled in response as she left the dorms and swiftly meandered her way through the common room and exciting Ravenclaw Tower... Casually decending the stairs, Penny eventually reached the bottom and turned off towards the great hall. She quickly realised that James hadn't arrived yet. So she stopped walking as she reached the large doorframe of the great halls huge doors, and leant her back against it as she waited for her boyfriend to arrive... Tag: Anyone! Of all the costumes James could have chosen, he probably picked the one that would make most Slytherins want to kill him. Or at least ridicule him. His costume was that of a muggle magician. He was decked out in a fancy suit, adorned with a tight cherry red vest and tie. He had a long flowing black cape along with black and white wing tip shoes. On the top of his head was a rather prominent top hat, and on his hands he wore white gloves. With him he had a couple of the silly illusions the muggles used to trick spectators, including a deck of cards, a red scarf, and the typical muggle black and white 'magic wand.' He patted his normal wizards wand which was resting securely in his pocket, while he continued to evilly eye the muggle wand which was idling on his bed. James didn't have a good experience the first time he held it. Sighing he bent down to pick the thing up, which instantly caused fizzling multicolored sparks to fall lazily from the ends. Now that wand wasn't magical at all. Just as the old sayings state, magic comes from within the wizard. So it made all the sense in the world for some magic to make its way out through the muggle instrument.
After a bit of struggling and grumbling, the muggle stick stopped freaking out. James took that as the go ahead to put it in his cloak pocket. He looked down at himself now, making sure he looked alright in his ridiculous get up, and figured that would have to do. He hurried out of the common room, passed a few stragglers, and nearly almost tripped out of the portrait hole causing an eruption of giggles from the Fat Lady. James rolled his eyes as he adjusted his top hat, then hurried off down the staircases feeling excited to meet Penny.
As he neared the final descent, his eyes caught sight of a girl wearing a black and red something or other. He couldn't really see all that well from the top of that last staircase. He finally made it within a distance to where he could see clearly, and his jaw just about hit the floor. Penny had chosen a costume that was bad in all the right ways. It was a very tiny red dress, with black accents, and a red cape... also tiny. James' eyes traveled from her toes all the way up to her face. The most time being used looking at her mile long legs. This was definitely not school appropriate attire. They weren't technically having 'school' now, so he figured that's why they've let her slide. And not to mention her revealing top half...
"H-hey Penny," he stuttered as a greeting once he came face to face with her. James was relieved that she agreed to still go to the festival together. With the whole blow out on the Quidditch pitch not too long ago, James had still been nervous in the back of his mind. He bent towards her with his hands holding her waist tentatively and gave her a kiss. "You look..." he paused. Amazing? Hot? Mind-blowingly sexy? So-good-we-should-skip-the-festival? "Perfect."
James pulled her in for a hug, before he kissed her again. Just a peck, which was the hardest bit of self control ever. One of his hands drifted down to take hers, entwining their fingers together. "Well, ready?" he asked giving her a smile.
It was a perfect night outside, just the right amount of chill. He wondered for a moment whether Penny was feeling alright. "You're not cold are you?" asked James concerned. James' sight drifted around to a few other students making their way to Hogsmeade. Some of them we're dressed similarly to Penny. And then James remembered, "I heard the Headmaster placed a charm out on the streets, so its not too chilly out. And then if you do get cold we can just go into the Three Broomsticks for a while..."

- - - - - - - - - - To say Noah was nervous was an understatement. The boy was completely freaking out. Tonight was the night he had been planning, since he realized it himself in a conversation with Penny, planning to tell Lucy Weasley that he loved her. Noah had never had a relationship before, and everything with Lucy was new to him, and her as well. He took in a deep breathe and ran his hand through his hair once again, looking in the mirror. He knew a lot of the students and probably older wizards and witches at the festival probably wouldn't understand exactly what he was dressed up as, but for those who knew it would make perfect sense. He was wearing a black tuxedo with white shirt, tie and vest. On the outside of the coat, there were some kind of details he couldn't even begin to desribe (look at the picture of Raoul for what I'm talking about, I haven't a clue how to describe it xD). Along with that, he had a sword attached to his side, with his wand in the other pocket. He was a better wizard then a swordsmen. With the black pants and shoes to complete his outfit, Noah let out a sigh. He looked around his room, no one there, probably gone off to Hogsmead already, Noah headed out to the Entrance Hall, where he had planned to meet Lucy.
Noah smiled as he watched people in extrodinare costumes pass, going to meet people or head down to the Festival. A few people asked him what he was and when he told them they looked at him like he didn't have a clue while others sorta knew who he was dressed up as. But that didn't matter to him what they thought, only Lucy. The two of them had agreed on this costume for awhile now. It was their first time in the Room of Requirements together, Noah wanted to hear her sing and he played "Think of Me" from Phantom of the Opera. He was amazed that she could sing just like Christine, and she was amazed by the fact he could play it without the music. The second time they were in the room together, they sung "All I Ask of You", so that musical was quite significant to the both of them. He smiled, remembering that second trip to the RoR. It had turned out just as he wanted it to, and his heart swell with happiness, remembering how perfect it felt to just simply hold her in his arms. Thinking of this made him want to scream out the words right now, to tell her how he felt about her, but he knew it wasn't the right time. Sometime tonight would be the right time, and he would make sure of it. And he knew, once she stepped down the steps to him, her in her Christine dress would blow his mind away. - - - - - - - - - - WORDS?: 500 TAGS?: Anyone COSTUME?: HereCOMMENTS?: =D

Penny was inspecting her nails boredly, when she suddenly heard a farmiliar voice speak up beside her. A smile instantly spread across her lips and her eyes darted up to see James, looking rather smart in his muggle magician costume. Seeing his choice of attire brought back fond memories for the Ravenclaw, the first time they had met up at the beginning of the school year had been in Weasleys Wizarding Weezes, his uncles shop and James had shown her all the muggle magic tricks in the back room. It had ended rather amusingly, with James somehow falling over and simultaniously scattering muggle playing cards everywhere... "H-hey Penny, You look... Perfect."Penny's smile grew bigger at his words and as he kissed her, "And you look very handsome," She giggled hugging him, and then kissing him back again. As he stepped back a little, a signal for their detarture, Penny tugged at her dress again, "You don't think I look too slutty do you?" She asked sounding kind of concerned, but quickly shrugging off the feeling.... So they began their walk, hand in hand towards Hogsmeade, There was a slight chill in the clear air as they walked, "You're not cold are you?" Penny glanced up at James beside her, his expression seemed slightly concerned so she smiled assuredly, "I'm fine, I have you to keep me warm anyway," She stuck her tongue out playfully and nudged him as they walked. "I heard the Headmaster placed a charm out on the streets, so its not too chilly out. And then if you do get cold we can just go into the Three Broomsticks for a while..."She nodded, "Thats really cool! Though I'm sure with so many peopl around it'll be warm just from body heat.." she giggled at the thought of later on that evening and the possible outcomes of a bunch of kids with a bit of alcohol in them... Eventually they had reached the small town and there seemed to be many people already there, while many more were still arriving, apparating, walking, flying, people all over the place. It seemed that tonight, Hogsmeade was the place to be. Penny looked up at James and grinned excitedly. "Where too first? Broomsticks?" She asked with a smile, in all honestly, she thought she could do with a nice warming drink from the cosy pub right about then... Tag: James/Anyone Words: 459 Comments: Time to meet daddyo?

Chasity had spent a lot of time getting ready. Her costume was just the right amount of fluffy, the pointe shoes were tied just right up her calves, her hair was up in an elegant up-do with the tiara tucked in perfectly. She couldn't think of anything else it needed. She dabbed on a subtle hint of a sweet perfume just before she walked out of the room. A deep breath, then she headed for the Entrance Hall, where she had agreed to meet Luc just a few days before. She'd been lucky to find a date, and a very hot one at that. It was bound to add some spirit to the Halloween party, and hopefully add a little jealousy to the mix. She couldn't wait to see James' face when she showed up, and Penny's face when she showed up with Luc. It would be a great night, she would make sure of it. She stepped gracefully into the Entrance Hall and looked around. Luc had told her that he would be going as an "Indiana Jones", some kind of Muggle treasure hunter, but she wasn't entirely sure what one of those looked like. She wasn't even entirely sure what Muggle treasure consisted of, but it couldn't possibly be too interesting. She watched silently as happy couples met up and headed toward Hogsmeade. Light kisses and romantic hugs filled the room, making her long for something she'd never had. The one person she'd even wanted that with was... not interested in her. James was happy with Penny, and deep down Chasity didn't want to ruin that for him, but what else could she do? Rejection was familiar to the lovely Slytherin girl. She'd been rejected her whole life. The only thing she knew to do about it was strike back. She kept a light smile on her face as she watched carefully for her date's entrance, wanting to get this night started, and over with, as soon as possible. Am I making a mistake? she asked herself, doubt filling her for the first time. It's too late now. Congratulations, you're about to prove them all right...Costume: HereTag: Luc! --- Luc liked his costume for simple fact that he had not had to make a big fuss about what he was going to wear. Most of the components he already owned: khaki cargo trousers, white t-shirt, white button down, brown boots, and a brown belt. The bag was borrowed from a dorm mate, as was the leather jacket. The whip attached to his belt loops was from the Care of Magical Creatures supply closet, Luc doubted that it had ever been used, and therefore, not likely missed. A fedora had been trickier to come across, but after a little searching, and maybe a little bit of bribery, his look was completed. His pure-blood date Chasity wouldn’t get it, but those who were muggle-born or half-blood like himself would appreciate muggle reference. This would be his first date since coming back to school, and Luc wasn’t entirely thrilled that it would be in a party setting. For him, parties and girlfriends did mix very well. Large crowds meant more opportunities for other guys to hit on said girlfriend, which was probably why he preferred more one on one time. Then again, Chasity was not in fact his girlfriend. He’d have to get to know her a bit more before he decided if he wanted to pursue a relationship. And if he were being honest… he was only mildly interested now because she was attractive. Maybe tonight wouldn’t be so bad after all. Or so he told himself as he made his way to the Entrance Hall from the Ravenclaw tower. With her hair up and in much softer material then the last time he’d spoken to her, it took a moment or two to spot her. When he did though, it made him pause for a moment to get a full visual of what she had to offer. The black leotard hugged in very nice ways and the combination of the shoes and tights showed off her shapely legs very well. Yeah, tonight is definitely going to be good, he thought with a smile and started to make his way through the crowd to her. “Hey, Gorgeous,” he said as he approached her. “Are you ready to have some fun?” --- Words: 401 Costume: Here Tag:Chasity/Anyone Comments: Woot, woot, let the possibly jealousy games begin!

"And you look very handsome," Penny said to James. He smiled and looked down at the floor, then looked back at her. He liked when she complimented him. Anyone else could say he looked handsome and he would scoff. But when Penny said it, he knew she meant it.
"Thanks, Pen," he answered, with a typical awkward shrug.
"You don't think I look too slutty do you?"
"No, not at all!" James quickly objected. "You look... wow. Great. Don't worry about it." His ears got a bit pink. Her costume was very revealing, not that James minded or anything.
They had made their way out to the grounds, with James inquiring about if Penny was cold or not. He wanted to be sure she was comfortable. James still felt some guilt from that fight, and felt like he needed to really prove to her he was a good boyfriend. It was all new to him, so he had no idea how a good boyfriend acted.
"I'm fine, I have you to keep me warm anyway,"
James turned his head to her rather quickly, and gave her a smile as he wrapped his arm around her waist. He pulled her closer to him as they walked, bumping a bit here and there. He chuckled, so glad that things were okay with the two. His feelings for Penny were so immense, that if anything ever happened between them, he felt he'd be ripped in two. "Well keeping you warm is my job, isn't it?" he joked, rubbing his hand up and down her waist quickly to make friction. James made a quick mention about the Headmaster's charm he put over Hogsmeade. It really showed James' nerdy side, bringing up something so trivial as a charm instead of gossiping about the nights future plans.
"That's really cool! Though I'm sure with so many people around it'll be warm just from body heat.."
James smirked as the exited the gates of Hogwarts. There were a few other ways he'd like to keep her warm with body heat. He had to shake his head to get the thoughts out. Something had come over him ever since that time in the Room of Requirement. It was all he could think about really. Damn he was turning into a dog.
The streets were already bustling with witches and wizards once they arrived. James couldn't help but grin from the excitement. Hogwarts never had an event like this, and Halloween was one of his favorite holidays. One could say he was biased, but he liked it because it was his birthday. He always got to have themed parties when he was a child, which were amazingly fun with the entire family dressing up together. Except the one time when his mum made him be a pygmy puff when he was four. James didn't really say much about his birthday to anyone. His family of course knew and would probably make a big deal of it. But he wasn't sure if Penny knew or not. Its not like they talked about it or anything. It wasn't a bit deal anyway, he was only turning eighteen. He was a wizard adult last year when he turned the big seventeen. It was convenient to be one of the oldest students in his year, though it was also a pain sometimes.
"Wow, look at this place!" James exclaimed after a minute of standing in awe and taking in the sights.
"Where too first? Broomsticks?" Penny asked him.
"That sounds like a good idea," he answered with a smile. They walked down the busy street with James' arm still around her waist. Finally at the Three Broomsticks, they made their way inside. It was filling up rapidly as they pushed their way through towards the counter. James gulped when he saw who was sitting there... his father with the headmaster. And it wasn't the headmaster James was worried about. This was the first time Penny was going to officially meet his dad. Quickly he searched around for his mum, and sighed in relief when he didn't see her. Well, here goes nothing. James thought as he pulled Penny along.
"Hey dad. Hello Professor." James said politely as they reached them. "Dad, this is my girlfriend Penny." He stepped to the side a bit so Penny could make her way in. Space was getting tight as the Three Broomsticks started to fill up.

Sitting and enjoying his mead, the Headmaster was dazing off in his own world. It was nice to be able to come out and enjoy the festival while also take time to relax. Organizing the thing was a damn stress, so he was relieved that the planning part was now over. He was surprised when a particularly famous wizard sat himself right next to him at the counter. The one and only Harry Potter. Intrigued, he turned his head with a friendly smile as Harry welcomed himself.
"I'm doing just great, and you?" Headmaster Meyrick asked back nicely. "I hope you are enjoying the festival so far. It was a bloody pain to organize..." He gave a laugh as he sipped at his beverage. He didn't know Mr. Potter too well, he was a bit younger than him. Though Gerard Meyrick always got excited over famous witches and wizards, loving to meet them. It made him feel important.
A few moments later, two students walked over to the adults. The headmaster recognized them as Mr. Potter's eldest son, and a pretty little Ravenclaw girl named Penelope Matthews. He had heard the rumors that they were seeing each other. Fortunately, that was the only rumor he heard. "Mister Potter. Miss Matthews. Good evening to you both. I hope you have an excellent time tonight." he said with a sparkle in his eyes. Young love made him feel a bit sappy inside. He knew what it could be like. Sadly, the headmaster was flying solo these days. With the introduction of the girl to James' father, the headmaster took that as his cue. "I'll be going for now," he said cheerfully and not wanting to intrude. "Have a nice night. I'll be seeing you around."
He stood from his stool and wandered off into the crowd, with his mug in hand. Feeling a bit claustrophobic, he made his way outside into the fresh air. With a sigh of relief he continued to walk through the streets enjoying the festival. All the while keeping an eye on the students he knew could mean trouble.

Chasity saw Luc as he made his way toward her, then she laughed. He was barely dressed up, just wearing khakis and an odd hat. The whip was interesting. What did a Muggle treasure hunter need a whip for? Yes, I'm ready to have some fun. You look... nice. So that's an Indiana Jones, huh? She smiled brightly at him and looped her arm casually through his. Let's go then.
Her earlier thoughts flew out the window. It wasn't too late to not make James' night miserable. She would just head to the party with her date and have fun. If she ran into James, then okay, and if not, that was fine. There was no reason to be malicious. She went over it in her head. She'd be polite, friendly even, but she would leave him and his girlfriend alone. As she walked with Luc toward Hogsmeade, she looked up at the sky. The stars mixed with the clouds, giving off a beautiful glazed light. This is a beautiful night, she said softly, almost to herself. So, tell me a little about yourself. It'll take a few minutes to get there. All I really know about you is that you play Quidditch. It would be a fairly short conversation, since it wasn't too long until they arrived at the party, but it would be some kind of small talk.

--- Luc chuckled at the way she worded things. "Yes, this is 'an Indiana Jones'," he wasn't making fun of her lack of knowledge of the famous muggle icon, but he was definitely teasing a bit. It was always a bit endearing to watch a pure-blood try to understand something from his very mixed childhood. It sure beat them being meanly old schooled and refusing to believe that muggles did anything of value. Or maybe it had to do with her brightly lit smile and the way she looped her arm through his. Either way, all sign indicated that this last minute date idea might turn out better then expected. James's refusal to see he and Penny were only friends may have been the reason to go looking for one in the first place, but that didn't mean Luc couldn't at least enjoy the company, right? "It sure is," Luc nodded, agreeing with Chasity's soft-spoken appraisel. A wonderful night, full of the promise of possibilities, though what exactly those might be remained to be seen. It wasn't a far walk to Hogsmeade, but they weren't familiar with each other enough for comfortable silence. Chasity made the first venture by asking him about himself. "Well, lets see, what do you want to know?" He contemplated this for a moment, a lot of things about himself revolved around him playing Quidditch. He played because it helped him focus, and drafting up plays beat doing boring homework. But, he couldn't really talk about that without coming off as just another jock, even if Chasity played as well. James's well aimed insult from last week left him feeling a touch sensitive about it. "I like animals," he finally blurted out. "My favorite subject is Care of Magical Creatures, and I think I'd like to be some kind of vetinarian one day." That much was true, and thankfully had absolutely nothing to do with athletics. "What about you, any interesting factiods to share?" --- Words: 380 Costume: Here Tag:Chasity/Anyone Comments: Poor thing is still a touch sensitive about the fight.

She was surprised to learn that Luc liked animals and enjoyed Care of Magical Creatures. Not that she had assumed that he was purely an athlete with no functioning thought processes.... well, maybe the thought had crossed her mind, but it hadn't lingered long. He seemed smarty, and he was in Ravenclaw. If there was no intelligence behind his abilities and face, he would probably be in Hufflepuff. I like animals too. Honestly, though, I prefer mundane creatures over magical creatures. I have a horse at home and I've taken Muggle riding lessons. That was a secret from her parents, who would not approve of her associating with Muggles. They gave her the money for the horse, but never stopped to wonder where she learned to ride. Um, something most people don't know about me is that I like to sing. Chasity blushed slightly as she revealed this.
A few moments later, Hogsmeade came into view and a strange sinking feeling hit her. It was time to decide what to do. The original plan, of course, was to flaunt her date in front of James in hopes of some kind of jealous reaction. Or, she could simply enjoy her night with Luc. She was torn in two by the choices, and decided to not make up her mind until she arrived. She looked at Luc and smiled. Well, let's do this! She left her arm through his, not exactly possessively but definitely so that it was known she was there with him. There were so many students and even adults dressed up as different things. Some were Muggle references that the Pureblood didn't get, but they were amusing. There were also people dressed as trolls, vampires, hags, and other scary, magical things. One woman made such a convincing hag, Chasity wasn't entirely sure that she wasn't one. She laughed and pointed her out to Luc. I think she's too convincing!

Harry smiled lightly at the Headmaster. He didn't know him that well, but he did know that he was a good Headmaster. He cared for the students greatly and placed a lot of rules for their protection. Of course in Harry's eyes, none could be better than Albus Dumbledore. He was truly one of a kind. "Well, I can't complain." he said with a chuckle. He nodded his head slightly.
"Trust me; you're not the only one happy to have this Festival upon us. I'll sleep better when the nights over and the kids are back in the castle." he said, a sigh escaping him. The Aurors had their work cut out for them, making sure that everything went according to the plan. It was a lot of work. But it was all worth it if the kids had a happy, safe night. "Luckily, I'm only here to enjoy myself, but I'll end up working probably. My wife'll kill me..." he said, muttering the last part.
Harry took a sip of his drink; He heard the door open as more people came in. And then he was created with the voice of his son. He turned to look at his eldest, smiling at him. "Hey James." he said, happy to see his son. While Harry wasn't particularly fond with the date, he was happy to see this day for another reason. He looked at the young woman standing next to James, raising a brow slightly. He looked at his son, smirking lightly.
"Hello Penny. It's nice to meet you. I'm Harry." he said, extending a hand for her to shake, the smile still on his features. After shaking Penny's hand, he looked at the young couple. "This is an interesting surprise. How long have you two been going out?" he asked. He wasn't going to bring up his son's birthday. He wasn't sure if he had told his girlfriend and he didn't want to be the one to bring that up. He'd give his son his gift later.

Penny leant hear head against James' shoulder as they walked up to the Three Broomsticks. It was getting rather busy and tight in there, which she really didn't like... But as long as she stuck with James, she would feel a little safer, so she was forced to straighten up and clutch onto James' hand as he lead her through the busy pub. Suddenly they stopped, "Hey dad. Hello Professor. Dad, this is my girlfriend Penny." Wait. What!? Dad?? Oh Gods, I'm meeting Harry freaking Potter and I look like a postitute... Her minds eye rolled at itself as Penny stepped up to the two older wizards and smiled despite her inner insecurities, "Hi Professor," She said curtly before looking at James' dad, the famous Harry Potter. The one that allowed everyone to live in the freedom that they did, the one who defeated Voldemort. If it wasn't for the man infront of her, leaning on the bar with his drink, the wizarding world would be a really different place to live. Penny would probably have been alright, since she was a pureblood, as long as she kept her mouth shut about befriending half bloods and muggle borns... Actually.. As long as she didn't befind either of those two groups... And as for James... Well he'd likely not even exist... If the dark lord hadn't been defeated then, Harry Potter must have been, therefore, no James and probably no Lucy and Luc would be outcasted... Gods everyone kind of owed a lot to this guy... "Hello Penny. It's nice to meet you. I'm Harry." Penny saw his hand outstretched and she immediately put forth her own and shook the mans hand, "Nice to meet you too, Mr. Potter." She smiled, vaguely wondering what her parents would make of this meeting. She'd never really heard their views on the Potters... or was she just not listening? "This is an interesting surprise. How long have you two been going out?" Penny glanced up, fleetingly at James, who didn't look like he was about to answer, so she smiled confidently looking back to Harry and replied, "Almost two months." Only after she had answered truthfully, did she wonder whether James had actually had a lie in mind. She knew it had taken a little while for him to actually tell his parents about her... Actually, thinking about it, was Harry implying that this was infact the first time he had heard about Penny at all? and 'Interesting surprise' he had said.... She squeezed James' hand a little, sending him a sly sideways look, masked by a casual glance around for anyone that she might know. She breifly wondered where Lucy and Noah were, and whetherhe'd told her he loved her yet... Then she wondered where Luc and Chasity were, and whether he was doing a good job at making his mystery girl jealous, something she had concluded he was probably trying to do by taking the Slytherin...
